Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, control access, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post. As part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help with security-related concerns while acting with integrity and teamwork every day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor/vendor activity to help support authorized access and security-related protocol compliance.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or policy concerns, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports related to access events, incidents, and daily activities, and help support order throughout the location by following Allied Universal and site procedures.
