As a Security Officer Metal Detector in Mabelvale, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support security-related protocols for people, vehicles, and property. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and other security-related policies for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, truck gates, and/or visitor areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support the orderly flow of people, vehicles, and deliveries throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarm activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain visitor, contractor, and/or delivery records, issue passes as directed, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns to site management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gate areas, and loading or shipping zones, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
