About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Pavilion Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will be a visible presence that helps reduce incidents while delivering customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or disruptive behavior per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Complete required documentation such as daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management by monitoring entry points, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to the appropriate destinations according to site procedures.
