As a Security Officer Medical Patrol in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
  • Help to monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with direction, badge verification, and/or access control procedures in accordance with site policies.
  • Support a professional environment by observing and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
