About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Facility in North Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support patients, visitors, and staff while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, and innovative, and always acting with integrity. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)
  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed
  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room
  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening support, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and note unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with visitor direction, and support site protocols for patient care environments.
  • Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and operational needs while following post orders and reporting procedures.
