About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Facility Patrol in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, public areas, and restricted locations for unusual activity, offering directions and assistance while following post orders and reporting procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by preparing incident reports, noting maintenance or hazard-related issues, and reporting security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
