About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Afternoon Shift in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and contribute to a caring culture through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation with Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
