Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital position.
  • This hospital position may require working in or around a morgue.
  • This hospital position may require restraining individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order and support staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits, to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures and assisting first responders as needed.
