Job Description As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication, while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

Applicants must comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
Applicants may be required to work in or around a hospital morgue.
Applicants may be required to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Document incidents and observations according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or visitor credentials as required.
Assist with emergency preparedness drills and participate in response activities as needed.
Maintain a professional presence while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff, addressing questions and/or concerns in a courteous manner.
