Job Description As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication, while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

  • Applicants must comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Applicants may be required to work in or around a hospital morgue.
  • Applicants may be required to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Document incidents and observations according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or visitor credentials as required.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness drills and participate in response activities as needed.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff, addressing questions and/or concerns in a courteous manner.
