Job Description As a Security Officer – Hospital Entry Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Your role includes routine patrols, visible engagement with staff and visitors, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Vaccinations required for hospital positions.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies or drills by following established response procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents encountered during patrols.
