Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Assist with access control duties by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and guiding visitors and/or vendors in accordance with location policies.
  • Support healthcare operations by helping with de-escalation, providing directions, and communicating with staff and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, or facility-related incidents.
