About The Position

As a Security Officer Medical Campus Patrol in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, hallways, waiting areas, and parking areas to help support orderly operations and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control, visitor direction, and general presence throughout the location while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific expectations.
