About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for any unusual activity or potential hazards and report findings promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying credentials, and directing visitors as needed.
Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal procedures.
Collaborate with site staff and law enforcement as required during emergency or security-related situations.
