Job Description As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Day Shifts in Elgin, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor/vendor check-in processes, including verifying identification as required by site procedures and documenting entries and exits.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting onsite leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
