As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Day Shifts in North East, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and associate activity for policy violations and/or suspicious behavior, and report issues according to post orders.
• Complete shift documentation such as incident reports and activity logs, communicate updates during shift turnover, and support loss prevention and store operations within assigned authority.
