About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control Driver in Pontiac, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following established procedures.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and assisting with directions and information as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and/or potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues as required by site policies.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to support the security-related needs of a manufacturing and industrial environment.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency protocols.
