About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control Driver in Pontiac, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises, following established procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and assisting with directions and information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues as required by site policies.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to support the security-related needs of a manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency protocols.
