About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Monmouth, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will focus on access control and security-related support. You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges and logs, and monitor entry points and cameras. You will conduct routine patrols and communicate concerns to site leaders, helping to reduce incidents through a visible presence and strong customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification, and directing authorized persons to the appropriate location.
  • Operate entry and exit points by monitoring gates, doors, and/or turnstiles, managing visitor logs and badge issuance, and supporting traffic flow for deliveries and shipments in a food and beverage production environment.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems and report unusual activity according to post orders and Allied Universal policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, checking for access issues, unsecured doors, and/or irregular conditions, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
