Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Peoria, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence. Your routine patrols and visibility support a secure environment for customers and staff. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues within the location to management or appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with store staff and visitors to help provide a welcoming and secure environment.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as needed.
