As an unarmed patrol Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support shoppers and tenants with courteous customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, as you move between areas and respond to needs. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, parking areas, storefront perimeters, and service corridors to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, then document and report observations per site procedures.
- Complete required reports such as incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate clearly with site management and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
