Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or drivers, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building access points, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as work environments and conditions vary by site.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, providing directions and assistance, and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions to daily site activity.
