Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your role includes monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity through teamwork and a caring culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages in accordance with site-specific requirements to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or violations of site policies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management, verifying credentials as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and local authorities as needed for security-related matters.
