As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with people throughout the facility, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Screen individuals and/or vehicles entering the premises, following established access control procedures.
  • Monitor and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft attempts, or unusual occurrences, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities.
  • Assist with crowd control and/or directing traffic as required within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and improve procedures.
