About The Position
As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct access control, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and attention to detail support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screening of individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
- Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions related to site access and protocols.
- Carry out security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
- Monitor and document activities at access control points, reporting any irregularities or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to maintain a secure environment throughout the logistics and distribution location.
- Support regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as required by site procedures.
