Job Description As a Security Officer - Retail Front Desk Operations in Somerset, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a bustling retail location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, greeting guests, managing access control, monitoring badge activity, and responding to security-related incidents. You will help to deter unwanted activity while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk area.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide information related to security-related matters.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols and instructions from Allied Universal management.
