As a Security Officer Lobby Reception in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. At a busy healthcare location, our Front Desk Officer helps create a welcoming presence by managing entry activity, assisting visitors, and supporting security-related procedures with professionalism and clear communication. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by greeting patients, visitors, and staff, verifying identification as needed, and following site-specific security-related procedures for access and visitor processing.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, answer questions, direct guests to appropriate departments, and document visitor arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entry points, confirming credentials, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete required reports and logs, maintain awareness of front desk communications systems, and support daily operations in a healthcare location with professionalism and attention to detail.
