About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor screening, credential verification, and/or entry and exit documentation at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized entry for employees, contractors, and approved visitors in accordance with local post orders and client policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access control points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, report security-related concerns, and document observations.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and shift activity records, and provide clear handoff information to incoming personnel and/or site leadership.
