About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Receptionist in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the welcoming first point of contact at a professional location, helping to manage access, greet visitors, and support security-related procedures with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities from the front desk area.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting guests, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and/or maintaining front desk logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or documenting activity as needed.
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, and support general front desk operations while helping to address security-related concerns and unusual activity.
