As a Front Desk Officer at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor security-related systems and alarms, and document activity with clear communication. You will be the trusted first point of contact, supporting a professional lobby experience while collaborating with the site team. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures at the front desk.
• Control facility access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing guests to the appropriate location.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, access control systems, and communications equipment, documenting irregular activity and escalating concerns per site guidelines to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, access logs, and pass-down notes, and communicate updates to the next shift.
