About The Position

Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support daily security-related operations through professional communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception area activity, greet visitors, verify identification and access permissions, and direct guests, employees, and vendors according to site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control operations for a tech, media, and telecommunications location by helping to manage badges, visitor check-in, deliveries, and other authorized entry procedures.
