About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Attendant in High Point, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitor front desk activity, and support security-related protocols. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining customer service, communication, and professionalism while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific policies, verifying access permissions, and directing guests at the front desk within a technology and communications-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, visitor logs, identification checks, and/or badge processes to help support security-related procedures and document front desk activity.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and/or service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, manage incoming calls, and/or assist with sign-in processes while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity according to site protocol.
  • Support emergency response activities and business continuity procedures from the front desk by communicating instructions, documenting events, and/or helping coordinate access during changing conditions.
