As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the campus, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational campus and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activities.
- Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
- Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing information and addressing their concerns related to the location.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
