As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will report concerns, support access control, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, noting and reporting suspicious activity and/or unsafe conditions.
  • Control access by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or badge procedures, and directing traffic and deliveries in accordance with post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems, respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate clearly with site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Prepare complete and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and promptly escalate maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns through Allied Universal reporting channels.
