Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to routine needs with calm, professional customer service. You will complete regular patrol rounds, observe and document activity, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency resources as needed.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as required, directing visitors to appropriate areas, and documenting access activity per post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate notable observations to site leadership and incoming personnel.
