About The Position

The Security Officer Lead is responsible for protecting company assets and the welfare of guests and employees of LA Downs. This role assists the supervisor in their duties as assigned, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals within the establishment. The position involves investigating incidents, reviewing and approving documents, and supporting the supervision of customer safety officers. Additionally, the Security Officer Lead contributes to schedule preparation, fosters relationships with the police department, and performs all duties of a security officer when necessary, while maintaining excellent public relations and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

Must have valid Louisiana Driver’s License with no DUI’s or Suspensions within the last three (3) years.
Must possess skills in investigation, as well as, knowledge of gaming regulations and company internal controls.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Must have excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Must possess excellent customer and employee relations skills.
Must be able to obtain Alcohol Awareness, First Aid and CPR certifications.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Nice To Haves

Previous Security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safety and well being of guests and fellow employees.
Investigates various incidents that concern the welfare of the hotel/casino.
Reviews and approves all documents as needed.
Assists the Shift Supervisor in the supervision and direction of customer safety officers in performing their duties and procedures of the company.
Assists the supervisor in preparation of schedules and daily paperwork.
Develops a strong working relationship with the police department.
Provides supervision and leadership in the supervisor absence.
Performs all duties of a security officer when necessary.
Conducts good public relations with all guests and company employees.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
