As a Security Officer - Inmate Processor and Transporter in Signal Hill, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be proficient in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate incident and activity documentation.
  • Assist with traffic, crowd, and public-event support as assigned, while maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly with site representatives and emergency responders.
