As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and complete detailed reports. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will support a caring, people-first culture by communicating clearly, responding to issues, and partnering with site teams with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients at an industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas and the facility perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access at gates and other entry points by verifying identification, checking visitor and contractor authorization and directing traffic per site procedures.
Monitor and report unusual conditions such as open doors, damaged fencing, unsecured equipment and unauthorized persons, and notify site personnel per post orders.
Complete routine rounds and inspections, documenting observations in daily activity reports, shift logs and incident reports with clear, factual information.
Support loss prevention and property protection efforts by observing, reporting and following site protocols regarding materials movement and restricted areas.
Use communication systems such as radios, phones and monitoring equipment to relay information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Follow written and verbal post instructions, including required checks and tours, and participate in briefings and/or training as assigned.
Maintain a professional presence and provide directions and assistance to employees, contractors and visitors while following site rules.
