About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Driver in Peru, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post, requiring a valid drivers license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and along the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting hazards, damages, and/or unusual activity.
Monitor access points and support access control by checking identification, processing visitors and deliveries, and directing drivers and guests according to site rules.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and shift events, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
