Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Driver in Cookeville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor alarms and cameras, and document activity while delivering clear, professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at an industrial location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges when authorized, logging arrivals and departures, and directing traffic to approved areas.
- Conduct security-related screening of vehicles, deliveries, and packages as required by site policy, including documentation checks and directing loads to designated receiving areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using radio communications, incident documentation, and timely notification to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and site hazards, then report findings per procedure.
