About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Driver in Pontiac, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control by welcoming employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing passes, and documenting activity. You will perform routine patrols and security-related checks to help to deter incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site leaders. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile rounds and rapid response.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes per site procedures, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
Screen inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic for compliance with posted requirements, including directing deliveries to designated areas and reporting suspicious activity per protocol.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
