About The Position

As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution construction location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, controlling site access, and communicating professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity. CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct employees, contractors, and guests in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related hazards in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support a professional, welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
