Security Officer is responsible for protecting all Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) properties, assets, patrons, and employees by maintaining a safe and secure environment and responding to incidents such as altercations, theft, vandalism, fire, unauthorized entry, and other illegal activities. The role requires adherence to LDC's Core Values, policies, procedures, and all applicable gaming regulations established by the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board, Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority, federal government, and State of New Mexico. Security Officers conduct regular patrols of buildings and grounds, monitor and report irregular activities, prepare detailed incident reports, assist with medical emergencies, provide safety escorts for guests and employees, secure restricted areas, coordinate money transfers to and from the vault, participate in money-counting procedures, manage traffic and crowd control, respond to emergencies, and testify in court when required. They must communicate effectively by radio and telephone, maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions, attend required meetings, administer reasonable-suspicion and post-incident urine analysis tests for employees, and perform additional duties as assigned.
