As a Security Officer - Housing Complex, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support daily operations through teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and applicable security-related policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, maintenance-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, observe for policy violations, and document security-related events in accordance with post procedures.
  • Prepare clear written reports and communicate relevant observations, incidents, and/or customer service interactions with appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
