Job Description As a Security Officer - Hotel Front Desk in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prestigious hotel and resort location, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing outstanding customer service while monitoring entry points and managing access control. Your presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor and guest check-in and/or check-out processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain logs and reports related to visitor activity, incidents, and other front desk operations.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal management and site leadership with security-related tasks and administrative duties at the front desk.
