Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Franklin, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location in an access control role, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support orderly visitor and driver flow. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity using site systems. Bring strong customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and dock areas by verifying identification, managing visitor and vendor check-in, maintaining access logs, issuing badges and/or credentials, and directing traffic flow for deliveries and pickups.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, trailers, and vehicles for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report discrepancies, damaged seals, and/or restricted-area violations per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events in written reports, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yards, parking areas, and perimeter, and perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
