Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
