About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital environment that may include the morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when required in accordance with site protocols and/or applicable law.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry while maintaining awareness of patient care areas, public spaces, and/or restricted locations.
• Support hospital personnel during security-related events by assisting with de-escalation, wayfinding, and/or response coordination as appropriate for the post.
