Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Foot Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and document observations while supporting a caring, people-first environment. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, noting unusual activity and submitting required reports.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and local responders as needed.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate observed concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
