About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full-Time in Bellflower, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, support access control and incident reporting, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

Hospital vaccines required.
Hospital restrain individuals required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation support and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Monitor access points and security-related systems as assigned, assist with visitor directions and/or check-in processes, and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access attempts.
Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in logs and reports, and communicate key information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision during shift turnover.
