About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Full Time in Natrona Heights, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

Vaccination is required for work at this hospital site.
Work may involve duties in the hospital morgue.
Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital setting.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
Report and document any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients by providing directions and responding to inquiries in a courteous manner.
Support access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and healthcare facility staff to address security-related concerns as they arise.
