Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Full-Time in Falls Church, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to situations as needed, and provide exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

Vaccination is required for work at this hospital site.
A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by performing security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Support law enforcement, fire, and/or medical personnel during emergency situations at the location.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations.
